Body Centered Alternative Therapies
When the body is in pain, under stress, out of balance or ignored, the Mind/Body/Spirit harmony is disrupted. Body-centered therapies aim to re-establish the harmony through the body. This can be achieved through treatments or through growing awareness with the guidance of a teacher.
Treatments include physical therapy services and massage therapy. Osteopathy and Posturology are offered as a part of a systematic approach to realignment of posture, improvement of range of motion of joints and improvement in overall body stability.
Mindful Movement guides you to an awareness that the way you move may be contributing to your level of pain and discomfort. Learning how the body is really designed and then moving more consciously can add to the ease of living pain free.
We offer the opportunity to develop harmony of the physical Movement through Yoga and Mindful Movement. The Yoga teacher will guide you into awareness of the breath and body through numerous body poses and presence. Mindful Movement, based on the Alexander Technique, teaches how to become aware of how you move.
