Jeannette Litvak-Levine
Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner
Mission
We are in the midst of a global shift in health care. At the center of this change is Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the oldest healing system in the world, originating in India. It has been in practice for over 5000 years. It is a system that promotes balance using natural remedies, recognizing the important role of the mind and emotions, as well as the mind-body connection. It employs diet, herbs, exercise, meditation, breathing and yoga to restore harmony and balance back in your life.
Educational Background / Professional Training
- McGill University: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology
- NHC: Reiki practitioner (level 1, 2, 3)
- Ayurvedic Holistic Center: Ayurvedic Practitioner Degree
Approach
Through a comprehensive evaluation, clients can understand their own Dosha (unique body-mind constitution) and how their lifestyle, life cycles, nutrition, and emotions can be affecting their health and happiness. This approach enables the client to have a clearer understanding of themselves and guidance for self healing and wellness.
Procedure
Through the use of Ayurvedic diagnosis, wellness questionnaires and a dialogue about the client’s lifestyle, diet, and health concerns, client and practitioner develop an interactive approach leading to a program for the client’s health goals and overall wellness.
A customized plan will be given to the client which will include nutritional guidelines, lifestyle recommendations including breathing and relaxation techniques, aromatherapy, exercise and more.
A follow up appointment is scheduled.
